Kicking off our weed songs and stoner music with…

Afroman – Because I got high

Afroman’s hit song from 2001, with a cameo from Jay and Silent Bob… Brings back good memories… And makes us think about all those stupid things we did that weren’t such a good idea in hindsight…

Next on our list of stoner tunes… Jay and Silent Bob also get their own Weed Song…

Smoking Weed song – Jay and Bob

Jay and Silent Bob have some good advice for you… with their smoking weed song… Check it out…

Weezer – Hash pipe

After they got done with hanging out with Buddy Holly at the Diner in Happy Daze, Weezer went off and spent some time with their hash pipes… This song is the result… Better than destroying sweaters that’s for sure…

Snoop Dogg – Smoke Weed Everyday

Before Snoop Dogg got renamed Snoop Lion with the release of his Reggae album Reincarnated, he was already a big fan of the ‘Erb… In fact, he smoked weed everyday! So get your Chronic ready, it’s time to smoke weed with Snoop…

Disjointed – White Girls and Weed

No weed songs list would be complete without this crazy out-of-character Rap by Travis from the NetFlix show DisJointed… Who doesn’t like White Girls and Weed?? Travis certainly does!!

Peter Tosh – Legalise it

We all know what Peter Tosh has long been saying… Don’t Criticise it, Just Legalise it! He’s been an advocate of legalisation since at least 1976… Finally, his dream is coming true about the world, so roll up or load the Vape and celebrate! Might be a little premature but you got to get your practice in!

Bob Marley and The Wailers – African Herbsman

We don’t know if this is actually a weed song that Bob Marley and the Wailers are singing here, but who else are you going to get your bud from in Africa if not the African Herbsman! Of course, there are other explanations, such as a medicine man that uses plants to heal… Ok, so he’s the weed dealer after all… lol!!

Sublime – Smoke Two Joints

For the Sublime fans out there, we couldn’t resist this version of the famous reggae song Smoke Two Joints… This video has a cool retro video make by a fan and harks back to the old days of anti-weed propaganda films like ‘Reefer Madness’

Sadly frontman and singer Bradley Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996… If only he’d stuck with smoking joints, he might still be with us today…

The Toyes – Smoke Two Joints

The original version, written under a banyan tree in Hawaii by two of The Toyes band members… A more chilled out and laid back version, for later in the smoke session perhaps… This song has incorrectly been attributed to Bob Marley and The Wailers, and Sublime… But if you listen to the original version it’s clearly neither group… Sadly Bob had died two years before this song was released, so he couldn’t have written it… But perhaps it was the spirit of Bob visiting the banyan tree that day…

Eek-a-Mouse – Ganja Smuggling

What can you say about Eeka-a-Mouse… He definitely had his own thing going on, singing in his unique stye about the troubles the rasta’s faced, Ganja smuggling being one of them…

Cypress Hill – Hits from the Bong

Check out the live version of this classic smoking tune… Hits from the Bong… Complete with a man-size bong on stage with the band… And to add a little authenticity to the video it’s a live gig at The Smokeout!  Not to mention the giant-carrot sized blunt B-Real is smoking…

Musical Youth – Pass the Dutchie

The internet says that a Dutchie is a Dutch cooking pop in Jamaican patois… But I was once told that these cute kids are singing about passing a Jamaican coconut bong (Dutchie) to the left-hand side… I’m sure I also remember a different video to this where these cute kids are passing a smoking coconut bong around… The original version of this song by Mutabaruka and The Mighty Diamond was called Pass the Kouchie… and a Kouchie is the pot to keep the weed in…

Ok, so here’s the original Mighty Diamond’s version of Pass the Kouchie

Slower and a bit more ‘adult’… No kids smoking weed here…

Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit

After quite a foray into Reggae smoking songs and a bit of Hip-hip weed tunes, we’re finishing this list off with a more classic smoking song.

This Jefferson Airplane song that came out in 1967 and was performed live at Woodstock in 1969, is literally jam-packed with drug references. Just watch the video above and think about what they might have been on…

Using references from Lewis Carroll’s books ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Through the Looking Glass’ White Rabbit was one of the first songs to get drug references past the censors and onto the radio. (My how times have changed!)

The Hooker smoking caterpillar, magic mushrooms and pills… Feed your head!

Check out the full White Rabbit Lyrics

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don’t do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she’s ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you’re going to fall
Tell ’em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call…
Call Alice
When she was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you’ve just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she’ll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen’s off with her head
Remember what the Dormouse said
Feed your head
Feed your head
Feed your head

What a trip!
